The bricks in this picture are all laid out in the same pattern, causing the picture to have a static nature.  This allows the eye to roam about, instead of following the flow of the picture.

The field goal posts on the football field show diminishing perspective.  The eye assumes all three are the same, and the diminishing aspect creates the feeling of depth within the picture.

The dynamic tension in this picture is caused by the direction of the arrows.  The subjects are usually translated into arrows when describing the tension, but here the work is already in plain sight.  The two arrows are pointing in opposite directions, directing the attention outward both left and right.

Imbalance is represented in this picture.  The two triangles are different sizes, or different weights if using the scale analogy, thus throwing off the balance of the picture.

This picture is an example of frames within frames.  The two identical trees act as a perfect natural frame for the passing by car.

For my Lawyer card I choose a clean, direct, and simple design.  I thought the cursive added a sense of class and professionalism.  Anyone looking at a lawyer’s business card doesn’t want to see anything distractingly creative, they want to see something that looks dependable and tried.  This card achieves the goal of being straightforward and direct.  I carried that idea on to the back of the card.  Simply having my name on the back would leave an imprint on my client or whoever has the card.  Even if they don’t mean to be looking at my card if they pull it out they will either see the front or the big type of my name on the back.
